Your data

Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated: July 27, 2026

1. Overview

Loop is an offline, audio-first spaced repetition app. It does not require an account. Your library, recordings, playback history, scheduling data, categories, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not operate a server that receives your audio library.

2. Information Loop handles

  • Audio and metadata: files you import or record, titles, notes, categories, duration, playback history, and review schedule.
  • Microphone access: used only when you choose to record audio. You can change permission in iOS Settings.
  • Shared files: supported audio sent through Loop’s Share Extension is copied through the private App Group container into Loop’s managed local storage.
  • Purchase information: Apple processes purchases. Loop uses StoreKit transaction and entitlement information to unlock Loop Pro.

Loop does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs and does not sell personal information.

3. Storage and sharing

Data is stored in the app sandbox or its private App Group container. Audio is shared outside Loop only when you explicitly choose Share Audio or Save to Files. The receiving app or service then handles that exported copy under its own privacy policy.

Sample Loop audio is bundled with the app and contains no user information.

4. Retention and deletion

You control retention. Deleting an item removes its database record and managed local audio file. Archiving an item does not delete it. Deleting Loop removes its locally stored app data, subject to normal iOS device backups managed by Apple.

5. Children, security, and changes

Loop is not designed to collect personal information from children. We use Apple platform security and app sandboxing to protect local data. We may update this policy when Loop changes; the current version will remain available at this URL.
